We love Holidays… specially those dates at the end of the year, they are fun, they are familiar, they are most wonderful time. For a Destination Wedding planning, it could be perfect, specially because the number of holidays in December specially allows to more of your guest to travel!!! yaaayyyy!!
In case that you are thinking of having a Destination Wedding during this time… away from home, it will be important to consider the following aspects:
- More guests, more fun… but therefore you will have to increase your wedding budget a little bit …
- Hotels and flights will increase their prices, specially if you are traveling to Mexican Beaches, why? Demand! Most of the people want to fly away during this period of time… then with a high demand the price increase… ok it should be opposite, but it is real, it is their High season and they will take advantage of that…
- Places crowded… yes! a result of all that people trying to fly away home for a nice vacation, you will find hotels, flights, airports, restaurants, etc, etc… full!!!
- Anniversary: It is a great trick!!! your future partner in love will never forgive your anniversary but are you sure you want to spend all your anniversaries celebrating both Christmas/ Thanksgiving/ New Year and your Anniversary??? ah! and please consider the last 2 points, that usually repeats year after year in the same season …. so would be expensive to fly away for a special anniversary…
- Suppliers prices: Well you will leave your guests to figure out about prices.. or even you have the chance to find them a perfect price, but, but.. because of the season wedding suppliers prices will be increased, why? they will be working on a holiday!
- Logistic delays: what? oh yes! it is a holiday so some products or services won’t be as easily available like any other occasions, for sample… flowers! at Riviera Maya most of the hotels and restaurants will make a special dinner … imagine the number of flowers they will require for these events…
There are also good aspects for this season.. as I mentioned more guests will be able to attend to your wedding, the weather is better at Riviera Maya during that season … which means that is not deadly hot and chances of rain are less…
