First look… never forget…

27 dresses it was a romantic comedy movie but we all suspire when she responded, “You know how the bride makes her entrance and everybody turns to look at her? That’s when I look at the groom. Cause his face says it all you know? The pure love there” … we can picture the image in our heads so clearly that most of us cry… it is true…it is a magic moment… and any Bride and Groom can describe it.

Her glowing, his smile, the music… We believe in that perfect moment, that’s why we love what we do… planning weddings.

I had the change to feel it and I’d love to share it with you… because it was truly amazing but before the wedding day when I was planning the photos with my dear Friend Juan Navarro… I stopped for a second when a tough crossed our minds. Why not do Pre- Wedding pictures? Quick shots called First Look. We are not very superstitious, so why not?

There are already a lot of couples doing after wedding pictures, and please do not take it in the wrong way, they are gorgeous, romantic, and everyone looks more relaxed and happy after the jump the ceremony part… But it was the intimacy that involves the First look photo session that sold me the idea entirely.

In my experience I know that wedding day passes so fast that you barely have a chance to take a break; so we spent the night together, had a morning walk by the beach followed with a breakfast together, spent the rest of the day with the family and then we got ready in separate rooms, after that, everything goes crazy speed… but slow down when we met each other for the first look pictures… And then again got crazy with the ceremony and after events.

Well to be honest until today I have great memories of our wedding, we had a lot of fun but at the same time, I’m plenty confident that I did not only marry my “man” but also my best friend, my partner in life… but most importantly, we can have a moment for us even with all the crazy things happening around us…and we treasure that.

So my advice, if you are not concern about superstitions or old traditions try doing a First Look photo session… on the other hand,  if you are a person who likes to follow old traditions- it is also ok – but then find some time to spend it with your fiance… away for the craziness of the wedding…both will remember this special time… do not forget to have your photographer there… let him or she take candid photos from the distance… good pictures came from the most unimaginable moments.
